  1. Mix oat milk, skimmed milk, cinnamon sticks, and ground cinnamon in a saucepan. Set on low heat.
  2. Beat egg yolks, add sugar, and bring everything to a boil quickly.
  3. Add a little more skimmed milk.

  • 7 1/2 dl vegetable drink or milk
  • ½ tsp anise seeds
  • Optional: fresh orange juice, raisins, nuts (whole or powdered)
  • Vegetable oil (as needed)


  • First, preheat the oven to 180ºC.
  • Cut the orange and set it aside.
  • Then place the dry ingredients in a bowl (not the orange) and stir until smooth.
  • Then make a hole in the center of the bowl to pour the liquid ingredients there; i.e. the milk and honey (if you choose the glühwein version, now is the time to add it. See instructions below.)
  • Then add the juice from the orange and continue mixing all the ingredients with a hand mixer to get a smooth mixture and remove any lumps.
  • Let the cake mix rest for 15 minutes at room temperature, so that the ingredients mix and acquire a spicy, intense, pleasant aroma.
  • Then grease a cake tin with vegetable oil and pour the mixture into it. Using a spoon or spatula, distribute the mixture evenly.
  • Place in the oven and bake for about 30 minutes. When the surface is raised and golden, poke a fork or toothpick into it. If it comes out clean, the cake is ready. If not, bake for another 10 minutes. Repeat the process until it is done.
  • When it’s done, take it out and let it cool at room temperature, covered with a clean, dry cloth (not near a heat source).
  • While the cake is still warm, carefully invert it onto a tray and let it cool for at least 10 minutes.
  • Now that the honey sponge cake is ready to serve, sprinkle some orange peel on top of it. You can also add some orange slices on the side.

  • 6 dl skimmed milk
  • about 3.5 dl ricotta
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon stevia powder
  • 2 tbsp vanilla extract
  • vegetable oil for frying (just enough)

  • 50 g sucralose powder
  • 3 tbsp water
  • a little lemon juice

Make flan Napolitano like this

  1. Turn on the oven to 180 degrees.
  2. Whisk together the skimmed milk, ricotta cheese, and stevia with an electric whisk.

  7. Cover the form with aluminum foil and prepare a water bath in the oven. Pour water into a tray until it reaches up to 1/3 of the flan form that you place on the tray.
  8. Bake for about an hour at 180 degrees. Make sure the water does not evaporate. If so, add more water.
  9. Test the flank cake with a skewer. Your flan Napolitano is ready when it is no longer sticky in the middle.
  10. Allow the cake to cool so that you can easily remove it from the mold.

Some tips

  • You can use almond milk instead of skimmed milk (in the same amount).
  • You can also decorate your flan Napolitano with different kinds of fruit and berries: for example strawberries, cherries, or a mixture of berries. Take what you like!
