There are many myths and half-truths about desserts and dishes with a lot of sugar. When you make a low-fat cinnamon ice cream, however, you will notice that sweets do not have to be negative, but even can benefit you.

Ingredients

  • 5 dl oat milk
  • 7 1/2 dl skimmed milk
  • 2 tablespoons of vanilla extract
  • 8 egg yolks
  • 1 1/4 dl brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons of powdered cinnamon
  • 2 cinnamon sticks

Preparation

  1. Mix oat milk, skimmed milk, cinnamon sticks, and ground cinnamon in a saucepan. Set on low heat.
  2. Beat egg yolks, add sugar, and bring everything to a boil quickly.
  3. Add a little more skimmed milk.
  4. When the ingredients in the pan are ready, remove them from the heat and let them stand.
  5. Immediately after, add the yolk mixture and place it over the heat again for five minutes.
  6. Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature before placing it in the freezer.
  7. Leave in the freezer for at least four hours before eating.

It is not more difficult than that to make low-fat cinnamon ice cream.

Ice cream with cinnamon, banana, and lemon

One must not ignore the effect sugar can have on the body. This is especially relevant when it comes to desserts and sweets. In many cases, commercial products are full of sugar.

To break this vicious circle, you can instead try another homemade ice cream.

Ingredients

  • 3 bananas
  • 1 can of coconut milk (370 g)
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons of cinnamon powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon zest

Preparation

  1. It is best to start making this recipe in the evening for the best flavor.
  2. Peel and slice the bananas, put them in an airtight container, and put them in the freezer.
  3. Also, put the jar of coconut milk in the freezer overnight.
  4. The next day, open the coconut milk and extract it with a spoon.
  5. Put it in the mixer and run until you have a cream-like consistency.
  6. Then do the same with the bananas, coconut oil, cinnamon, and lemon zest.
  7. This should give you a normal ice cream consistency, and then you just need to pour it into a glass or bowl.
  8. If it has become a little too loose, you just need to pour it into a container and put it in the freezer for 30 minutes.
