  • 1 1/2 dl oatmeal
  • 1 1/2 dl whole wheat flour
  • 10 pitted dates
  • 1 large ripe apple, grated
  • 1 pinch of yeast
  • 3/4 cup olive or coconut oil
  • Sliced ​​almonds as decoration


  • To begin with, preheat the oven to 175°C.
  • Place the dates in a bowl of hot water for around 15 minutes.
  • After that, you mix them together with a couple of tablespoons of water so that you get a smooth puree.
  • After that, you add oatmeal, yeast, olive or coconut oil, apple, and dates in a bowl. It is important to mix very well each time you add an ingredient.
  • Now wet your hands and make small balls of dough. Place them on a sheet of baking paper and leave around 2 1/2 cm between them.
  • Then place some chopped almonds on top of the cookies and bake for 6-7 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Let them cool until they are crispy and ready to eat.

2. Oatcakes with banana and chocolate

This version of these sugar-free cookies only requires three ingredients, making it an easy, quick, and kid-friendly recipe.


Furthermore, you can add dried fruit, seeds, and nuts, but remember to add more bananas if you do so that the dough does not become dry.


  • To begin with, preheat the oven to 175°C.
  • Line a tray with baking paper.
  • In a bowl, mash the banana with a fork, then add oatmeal and mix well.
  • Chop the chocolate and add it to the bowl.
  • Wet your hands and make small balls of dough that you place on the baking sheet. You can measure them with a spoon or mold if you want them to be the same.
  • Bake for 15 minutes or until the cookies are golden brown.
